Housing asso do checks

Hi.
Does anyone know if housing asso do credit checks when buying so?

Do they require bank statements and so on

    If your looking at buying shared ownership with an HA many will look through your finances including bank statements,proof of deposit and where it came from.

    Even HA seem to be carrying out due diligence these days which is a good thing.Its not in their interest to sell a property to someone who may be overstretching themselves financially.It can take months to evict someone and even more hassle to re sell the property.
