Casarecce pasta

Does anybody know where i can buy this at a reasonable price? The only place online i can see it for the cheapest price of 95p is Sainsburys. However, as i don't normally shop there it would mean me doing so just for that item. I don't have a Sainsburys nearby, and as far as i can see the other three SMs don't sell it. I originally purchased it in Home Bargains; but unfortunately thats not local either. I have a B and M locally, but they don't have any. I love the texture and taste of it; but i am loathe to pay £1.80 for a 500g pack from Amazon.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I wouldn't pay £1.80 for 500g of pasta either.
Casarecce is only the shape and obviously the pasta quality can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. If the Sainsbury's one is good, then stock up when you get the chance or from Home Bargains if and when.
Penne should suit as well as others and I virtually use penne all the time now as I find it versatile. I've tried lots of shapes, but penne is my preferred choice now. A few different penne's, but they all do the same job.
What do you use as an alternative to casarecce??
Have you tried (if possible) a traditional Italian supermarket?? Still on the pricey side I'd imagine.

Happy hunting though and hope someone can point you in the right direction.
You have me wanting to try it now. lol
Luckily I have many Sainsbury's to choose from!!

I might have bought it in M&S before. I'm quite fussy about pasta and normally only buy De Cecco or Barilla but I've bought some random shapes in M&S occasionally when they're on offer.

Not sure i'll get to either of those stores anytime soon. At the moment i am using spaghetti, farfalle, and the remainder of the packet of Casarecce. I also normally use Penne, Fusilli and linguine.

I am in a remote-ish town, so they probably won't have any Italian supermarkets anywhere and travelling to one would mean it costing the same as paying the extra. Ironically i work in an Italian restaurant; but they don't use Casarecce, and they are always quite despondant when i start asking questions about the products and whatnot, or too busy; so that's probably not an option.

I hope you get some from Sainsburys. Let me know what you think :)

Unfortunately the nearest M&S is in the same town as where HomeBargains and Sainsburys are. Perhaps i need to move there, in order to always have a supply on the go ...:rotfl:???

The Bella Ricetta brand of Caserecce is back in Home Bargains - 59p for 500gm. I much prefer Barilla but it's so hard to find these days.
