So pleased for you Zippy!
Glad they managed to get the majority through the voluntary process, always a lot easier for everyone concerned when it happens that way.

I've worked in a place when voluntary redundancies were offered. I don't think anyone taking that decision makes it lightly. It can be the right thing to do for some people. Everyone circumstances are different.
Where I worked, the end of final salary pensions was imminent and for a lot of older people, the VR route was by far the most lucrative one.

I too am glad that you're holding on to your job Zipster :)

    HELP PLEASE!
I'm trying to Rip a video CD onto my computer so that I can send to FC.
Bl..dy Windows 8 - I'm completely lost on how to do this now!
Can anyone help me please? Simples please!

I've not used windows 8, but from previous experience of windows...

if you put the blank disc in, go to "my computer"or it's maybe called "computer" in the start menu. You should see the blank disc, right click on it (or try double clicking if that doesn't work) and you might see a number of options, one of which should be to burn a disc...

If this works it should open a folder which you can click and drag stuff into to burn onto the disc.

    It's only a game
