But...maybe this has only just gone on offer in T and, with price changeover, needs a further day or two before it compares to 50p. Wait, wait, be patient, wait!!;):):)

Ive seen this reported in the last week working hth:p

the ham was like that last week. buy 1 get 2 free.

Or buy 1 and pay three times as much:eek:.

Or really it's buy 1 get 2 "free", as due to the inflated price of the cost of one, in effect it's not free at all. It's pay three times as much for one and get another two for the majority of the cost of the inflated-price first product. Would be far better if they were a third of the cost for one in the first place.

But that way... (a) they wouldn't sell as much and in effect it's getting you to buy three times as much for the same price as if they'd had them at a third of the price they 'should' be (I'm sure 120g of ham are available for £1 elsewhere:think:) - you'd then only get one as opposed to getting three at the same price but paying them three times as much in total (albeit getting three packs) and
    (b) unbelievably, even when an mbuy (including bog... offer) is on, many people miss the mbuy 'saving' (remember what that word should be replaced by as it's equally true here;), my replacement applies to derivative words too:D) - or as is the complaint heard quite frequently they are no good for single-person households as you'd be buying more than you would use. So, for whatever reason, whether it's no use to the individual or whether they just fail to take up the mbuy and end up paying more that way, it sees people paying more. For example, with bogo'f's, 'Why not just offer a half price offer?' people say. That's simple - it won't sell as many units (as people could just then get one at 'half price' rather than having to get two for a bogo'f') and thus wouldn't make the stores as much money.
