I like some American shows, Big Bang Theory, New Girl, and I used to watch Greys Anatomy before everyone started dying and leaving left right and centre, but DH basically hates anything American (more or less) or anything that has a laughing track. He enjoys An Idiot Abroad, Peep Show, Celebrity Juice, Road Wars (I'm sure there's others but my mind has gone blank!), so I'm struggling to think of a series he might like that we could watch together.

I reckon if they brought back Robot Wars he'd be the happiest bloke in the world :rotfl:

They should, I loved that show. There's a few of those on there, I think you can still browse even if you don't have an active account. I'm with him though, barring Red Dwarf can't stand shows with audience laughter or shows that expect you to laugh, like Friends did. Also most of Peep Show is on YouTube so you can watch that for freeeeee :D

I keep seeing mentions of COS - which I have worked out stands for Check Out Smart - which appears to have some good freebies. I have googled it and can see I need to download the App - will I be able to participate using my iPad (I haven't got a clever phone !).

Also, I think I've seen mentions of a couple of other similar sites other than Clicksnap and Snap & Save - and any guidance would be appreciated. It takes me a long while to catch up with some of these schemes !

Yep, no reason why you can't use your ipad, as long as you've got an internet connection on it to download the app and upload the receipts.

Shopitize is another one, maybe there's more info on the first post? I don't use it much as I don't tend to buy branded items.

Thank you all so much for your help today but I'm really fed up now! :(:(

Please don't get me wrong - I think this thread is great; I love the banter and I've been shown nothing but support and kindness by everyone here but trying to save money is just sooooooo frustrating when it takes so bloomin' long and is so full of pitfalls.

I must have spent about 4 - 5 hours trying to put two shops together today, only for the Sada site to go bonkers. I daren't tell dh what I've been doing all day today in the hope of saving a few pounds as I know what his response will be! :o

Despite all this, I am still desperate to try and make this work. I've got to work for the next 4 hours but seriously considering driving to Sada afterwards - dh is usually an exceptionally kind and patient man :A but I know he will not be pleased as he thinks it is a waste of my time and energy!

Nenen, do what you can do, and don't do what you can't, and whether you can or you can't, don't worry about it! Life is too short to stress over such things. If you have time and energy to do it, that's great, but don't let it take over.
