No you're not dreaming Picasso, or if you are then I'm dreaming with you and that would be a nightmare for you!

It's hard to explain but from what I've read I think that Tosca looks at what fuel savings amount you had left at the end of last month (April) and this saving must be used up before you start using this month's savings (May). For example, if you had 2p per litre saving left from April, this needs to be used first before you get any savings you have accrued in May. If you have small savings left from April then I think you can buy a couple of litres of petrol to 'clear' this before doing a full tank with a larger May saving.

It explains it all here: http://www.tesco.com/fuelsave/

If you scroll down the page then you can click on 'check your fuel savings' to see what savings you have on your clubcard.

Is this fuel saving thing as complicated to everyone else as it appears to me?
We have some on our account and DH says he never knows when to use it or if it's last months, this months or next months!
I don't drive and last time DH fuelled up he didn't use the saving thing  so a full tank was full price.

Thanks. I am confused no longer! I was reading 'Fuel savings valid until 30/06/2014' as 'use in June'. But, of course, I can use these in May as well.

I couldn't agree more dipdap! I think Tosca have done this so that they can advertise the up to 20p off per litre (which looks so appealing) but in reality their system is so complicated that users rarely get anything like that amount.:mad:

If you think of it as separate purses for each month and you can only use one purse at a time, then it is easier to understand. The key is to use all your savings when you have an empty tank, on the bird in the hand basis, unless you think that you won't buy a full tank in the next month. In that case you might want to buy a small amount of fuel to use up a 2p expiring end of May (for example) and then (even though it is still May) you can use the savings which expire at the end of the next month.

    Random question:-

Does anyone know how to get cow poo off joggers, DS went through a field with a mate walking to town at weekend, and got it all up his joggers, have put them through the wash with vanish, and its not shifted it :mad:

presume you mean the green stain that can be left behind. hang them outside in the fresh air and it should disappear. people on farms do not all go around with stains on their clothes :D . if it happens again rinse off any 'solid' then just wash as normal then do as above and let mother nature do the rest

Silly to be upset, but I bought something on eBay which was advertised as 150 cm wide and was only 130 cm. Postage was more than cost of item so messaged the seller to ask for refund. They told me to return it. I said I would but they'd have to refund me and also pay postage cost of refund. Thinking to save them cost of return postage, I said if they preferred, I would take the item to a charity shop. Seller says description was not wrong since they quoted approx size and 'a few centimetres is minute'! I have been told my message is threatening and intimidating and have been called a scammer and an awful person. I have managed to be polite throughout, have raised an 'item not as described' in the resolution centre and have posted photos of the item with the discrepancy clearly marked. But it's disproportionately upsetting!

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped me with this. I escalated the case to eBay support this morning and they came back really quickly!
    • Refund information:We've initiated a refund of £6.49 back to the PayPal funding source that you used to purchase the item. Please allow 48 hours for the refund to process.
    • Final decision: The case has been closed in your favour.
    • Customer Support comments:'You've been issued a courtesy refund by eBay.'

The email says: We've decided to issue you a courtesy refund for this case on 19 May, 2014 to the PayPal account you used to purchase this item. The refund includes the purchase price plus original postage & packaging. Please log into PayPal to get your refund.

I am presuming this means that I can keep the item since it doesn't say I need to return it. So I am delighted and will try to be less upset if something like this happens again. But I hope not. It was not pleasant. But thank you everyone who helped me.
