Let him watch Tracey Beaker then you'll get 'I'm leaving home!' my response to DD was 'You can take one bag, squish it all in cos you won't be allowed back in for anything you leave behind.' :p

How about "I hate you for ever and ever and ever", followed by a quick crying session and hugs saying "do you still love me mummy" :D

We take many memories from their childhood years, you especially, I just wish we could print copies of them every time because they slip away until something triggers them.

So true! DS1 and I were laughing this morning about when he said me aged about 7 'Mum why did need to go and have more children. Life could have been so happy without them' :D:rotfl::rotfl:

When my boy threw a strop and packed some clothes and his Teddy bear ready to leave home I told him that if he hung on for 5 minutes I'd make him some sandwiches to eat on his wanders. I also suggested he take a roll of toilet paper with him for emergencies. By the time we'd had a long discussion on what fillings would keep best and I'd made a couple of sandwiches, he'd forgotten all about leaving and ate the sandwiches in front of the TV.
