    I had a long period in my life when I could not manage family days out. My kids remember the strangest things anyway and not the big important memories I tried to make..
    Not a step backwards your family are still doing great, more a short respite to gather your strength.
    I have no doubt your kids have great family memories like mum eating friends chocolate cake in kitchen and being caught or mum and dad making that stupid dance video.
    I hope your DH also gets the break he needs so can move forward with his new treatment. Baby steps.

    Have a feeling that I am going to not be sleeping much this week. DD is off to Spain mid week with school - mixed emotions lol, peace but worry. And interview for a new job looming later in week, so cue nerves.
