I seem to remember that it's illegal to sell alcohol without a license including at school fetes etc. You can buy a 1-day license iirc, or you could give it away with a "suggested donation of £x". A few years ago when my ds's school was thinking about doing it I'm sure I read some threads on the subject on mumsnet where others had used raffle tickets and other ideas so that they weren't technically selling it.

Thanks I contacted the council and it will be £21 for the licence so worth doing it properly I think. But tank you for your response as if I hadn't known you would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Hi, just jumpin in... Have you worked out how many drinks you'd get out of a bottle? That may be a good place to start then you can add a bit of profit on top... You don't want to loose out by the drinks not covering the cost of the ingredients in the first place..

    Just a thought:) hth

I've got a glass of the blackberry and elderberry one:) left over from last year:) cos its Friday:j

Thanks for your response. I have worked it out per glass but that is where it becomes tricky. Should I work out how much I have actually paid using elite ways or how much I could have paid. Eg £18 in sada but only £10 in morribibobs. Mint, cu etc i will use apg womble s

Because I am getting it cheap i am then struggling to work out what people will pay. Obviously the more profit the better for the school but I don't want to be greedy so trying to work out a fair price.

Can anyone make use of this on a CC/HD v W? It all depends on a few things (ie your store charging 50p and everything in Waities 2for1 offer being same price)

    Doritos BBQ 225gr 50p

    http://m.hotukdeals.com/deals/doritos-bbq-rib-225g-big-bag-50p-asda-1905601?mforwarded=true

    Potentially a £2ish return on a £1 spend (or up to £10ish return on a £5 spend )
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen
