I know where you are coming from, I hate the hairdressers too. I hate someone else washing my hair. I have taken the using the nice'n easy built in tones & highlights at home so now just go to get a cut. I am always a little wary of colouring it near my hols - I don't know if it is an old wives' tale or whether highlighted hair can really turn green when going in a chlorinated pool :D:D

When I lived at home, we had our own water ( like a lot of farm's) my hair always turned green about 6 weeks after having highlights. . It was a pain in the backside...

Good morning everyone, sun is trying to come out here!
    Morning :)

    tweets :T

Raining. May is usually the best month of weather we get but it is turning out to be a damp squib. Though the trees are turning green.

That picture terrified me! Not so much the idea of going down that hill, would have to check my brakes first, but the idea of going up it! Had to go up a hill that steep once a while back and ran out of gears (and I have 18!!).

Getting a little concerned about seeing woodland birds in the garden. Saw a jay out there this morning, a female one at that, and we saw the woodpecker yesterday. Never seen either of those in the garden before. They have been doing a fair amount of logging up there, hoping it hasn't disrupted the woodland too much.

hi all, ta for the new thread.
not related to food shopping but going to post it here anyway
in home base they have 3 dulux endurance paints 2.5lts on at 1/2 price
colours: Ivory, soft stone & mild ? primrose, priced at £13.43.
reserved 3 to collect and they were also on a 3 for 2 so 3 tins of washable dulux matt in neutral colours cost me £26.?
was v happy as needed paint for ds room.
u could also get this a bit cheaper by going to b&q and getting price match +10% (they also have bogohp so this would kick in if they price match making it even cheaper)
not posting this on hduk or on the quick thread as stock is limited but thought it may help some1 on here, but if some1 wants to post elsewhere don't mind.
