Good Morning :D- scorcher of a day in Belfast. DD went off on her school trip today- she flew out of Belfast to London. We got ourselves in a right pickle this morning with the van playing up - Fred our trusty old lodger came to the rescue and got us to the airport- job done.

That's what friends are for. Thank God for them.

    Lovely here again too. :j
Yesterday we took dd2 to the bluebell walk. It was very pretty with loads of bluebells still out. :)
Today O/H has just got the bouncy castle all cleaned and set up in the garden for dd2 and her friend.
    N1LDA :)

Can anyone help identify this piece of classical music...

    It goes

De De De De drrrrrrr de-de
De De De De drrrrrrr de-de
Di duh da do, duh di di duh de do

It's a really famous piece, DS keeps playing the demo of it on his little keyboard

It's quite staccato-ish, a bit plinky plonky (I'm sure the composer would be thrilled to read that :))

Image-wise I kind of liken it to a little mouse taking little steps then looking around to see if anyone's watching

I think I may have lost the plot :o

It's not this is it Mildred always reminds me at the beginning as if someone is creeping around to look if anyone is watching. But I may have lost the plot too getting that from your di du dah dos. :o :rotfl:

just take the card in store. on the back of the card is a birth date "insert where appropriate" (nothing rude:p). Then take it in. They don't give change and some stores make up their own rules but it's basically £5 freebie. No purchase/spending necessary

all offers in my store work along side birthday. eg £4 each 2 for £6

    get the 2 = £6 then minus 10% for card holder = £5.40 - £5 birthday = 40p to pay (last time I went in anyway)
but agreed all stores have their own rules

    Afternoon :)

What a rubbish morning that was! Didn't even get a chance to say good morning to you lot!
Woke up slightly later than I should have, feeling slightly less than 100%. OH was being difficult! kids were grumpy, even the dog was playing up
Had my assessment done at uni. It went fine but was carried out by someone who was obviously having a worse day then me  I smiled at her and she looked at me like I'd just trod on her foot......so I kept a poker face on after that :rotfl:

Snap :( I am thinking of you :heart:

    Good morning all

    Firstly I have 2 problems.

Eldest child needs a basic tennis racquet - she is very short of cash (as usual). Please can someone suggest where to look?

She has booked some of the free tennis sessions (as per the MSE weekly newsletter) assuming that her tennis racquet is still here. She actually left home 8 years ago so why she thought it was still here I don't know.

When we wanted to take racquets on holiday we got some really cheap from Tesco, not sure if they still do them but worth checking big supermarkets. They are still OK, and they still have plenty of spring in them.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
