Citizens advise enq

Hi all,

Just wondering if any one can help with what I need to take to my appointment on Monday @ citizens advise?

Iv decided enough is enough and living of credit is no longer an option so am seeking help, although I know bankruptcy is the way I need to go,

I don't have access to a printer so can't print anything out, can I just provide a list of creditors and amount etc along with a screen shot version of my soa?

Any help be greatly appreciated

Thank you

You won't see a debt advisor on your first visit most likely anyway. They will make an appointment. The first visit you just need to know the general figures of what you owe and pay. I didn't take anything with me. They will tell you what you need to take to the debt advisor.
  • Ah ok thanks, he said to bring soa and list of debts? But I don't have a printer, so if I just list them this time and gather the information for my next appointment?

I'm just a bit worried as I have been using my credit cards quite a bit the last few months mainly for shopping, bills and for wedding items as we are getting married in 3 weeks! We couldn't cancel it as we had come to far with help of parents too, will I look bad? As I knew we would have to go bankrupt sooner rather than later? I haven't taken out any new credit for any of this just using existing to get by, we still need to find the money to go bankrupt and hoping we get enough wedding money to do so.

Will the OR think this is fraud?

The most that can happen to you is that you are put under a Bankruptcy restriction order, but this isn't too much to worry about unless you want to be a solicitor MP or director any time soon. Don't get too flustered about it and wait for somebody who is a profesional to give you some real advice. I'd advise speaking to Stepchange personally, they were brilliant for me.
  • Thanks for your help, Il give step change a call on Monday too, to see what other help they can offer too

    Thank you
