House insurance mis-sold?

Hi I'm looking for some advice about possible mis sold house insurance. I took it out 15yr ago when living in a council house & have just been paying it every year since not thinking anything about it but when I moved & my partner got a mortgage he got insurance with that & so I decided to cancel mine but on taking a closer look at it I was insured for what seems to be quite a lot for a council house & wouldn't need to claim for most of what was on it so was wondering if any one had heard of any house insurance claims? It was through Lloyds TSB thanks christine

Lloyds were retailing automatic cover 15 years ago. So, high sum insureds would be expected. That is not a mis-sale.
Indeed, nowadays, most plans work that way.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. That isnt mis-selling. You've also had 15 years of cover.0
