They wont if they have already assessed and approved the case.

I am assuming you have already started the new job?

We had one at work today where this exact thing happened, offer was pulled after exchange of contracts, the chain is now in limbo.

    It is extremely rare.

I think you are being paranoid.

I worked for a lender for 28 years, and I can't remember any offers being randomly withdrawn for no reason.

It is exceptionally rare for any offer to be withdrawn - the only reason I can think of is if the application was fraudulent.

You've told them all the information, and the offer has not been affected.

I don't know what these 'dirty tricks' are that you refer to? It's not something I recognise from the 28 years I worked in mortgages

A mortgage offer would never be withdrawn unless the lender had serious concerns re. fraud or similar.

As a PP has said, I think you're being unnecessarily paranoid. If you've disclosed everything, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

    Funds are being released!

Just spoke to Santander - my conveyancer requested them this morning to complete next Friday. We are not exchanging until Wednesday but both parties (1 house chain) have requested thier funds today in order to complete.

    Nervous but happy.
