Out of the blue I've received a county court claim instigated by ParkingEye. I haven't received any parking ticket or LBA so have no idea what it's in reference to, what do I do next?

Same as is shown in the 'NEWBIES read these FAQs first' sticky thread post #5 about Small Claims - read all the links there in post #5 of the sticky, then acknowledge the claim by registering on MCOL (no defence wording at that stage!).
Then make several cups of coffee while reading the Parking Prankster's Guide to defending a PE Claim. Which is one of the links on the sticky, and look at the other links so you can see what happens when as regards court procedures, and about cases won.
After acknowledging and reading up on it, you should have a pretty good idea of defence points - you won't win simply by saying you haven't had any letters. However not all cases go to a hearing, there are other outcomes. Search this forum for 'Northampton' to read loads of other PE Claims threads & to see what happened. DO NOT be tempted to fold and pay for an easy life, seeing as PE will settle for £50 and/or you 'can' win. Especially as this is the first you know about the matter - you'll see from the advice thread I've directed you to that cases can be steered to appeal (POPLA) instead, if the Judge agrees when you request it as a suitable ADR instead of Court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
