1st credit and lowell responded to my emails, that was before i found out about the 6 year thing. they asked me to fill out that form and give an offer with signature. after today, now i know they are trying to set me up with that acknowledgment signature , so sod the lot of them. I do feel bad for not paying what i owed to the people who gave me credit, but in my mind my deal was with them, not these vultures, who they sold me to. I know i should've read the small print in regards to what happens when you don't pay, but i was a silly young man and this is a lesson learnt.
I still can't believe how a combined debt of around £200 becomes £1100, It boggles my mind LOL.0 -
Only problem you might have is depending on how you worded your emails/letters to them, you might have inadvertently reactivated these debts after they'd become statute barred.
Did you acknowledge the debt at any time to any of these guys when you sent your messages enquiring about them?0 -

Emails don't acknowledge the debt. The legal system don't move that fast...:beer:0 -
Don't quote me yet, but I'm not sure you can reactivte a debt after it's statute barred by acknowledging it, because once it's statute barred that's it

Ahhhhhhh, I didn't realise that!
Could be funny though, emailing them 15 times saying "Yeah this is my debt, look, over here, coo-ee! I acknowledge this debt!"
Then when the letter comes through writing back and saying "Don't know what you're on about mate, these debts aren't mine"
OP, I strongly advise you DON'T do this, I'm merely musing it'd be funny if that actually worked!0
