When can I move?

Hello,
Not sure if anyone can help. My husband and I currently own a property and in a few years we would like to move. As it stands my husband has a 3yr old default which will drop off his credit file in 2017, we have had missed / late payments in the past but we have been upto date will all payments for 15 months. We have some debt left which we hope to pay off by next year. I was just wondering realistically when we might be able to consider moving? Would it be when hubs default has dropped off and when all missed payments have?
Thanks x

There is not enough information.
Theoretically, it could be now. But it will depend on your affordability, your credit history and the case a whole.
Its probably worth seeing a broker with your credit reports (there are 3 - equifax, experian, noddle.co.uk).I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
