Capita (Civil Service Pension) issue - help!

Actually, we do have a record in the form of the letter from Capita on 28 March 2006, which included an attachment outlining the payments due to my wife then (on 1 April 2006) and now (on 30 April 2014). For clarity I'm including the amounts and the wording in that letter:
It would seem then that what I wrote was accurate in so far as neither your wife nor Capita have any record of the amounts paid/received in 2006 - what you have is a letter saying what was supposed to be paid/received and this seems to be the root of the problem?0 -
Mrs stux was given enhanced terms- see post 1.
If your letter represented the standard terms then Mrs stux's were not standard terms because they do not seem to relate to what was offered in her case?
OK, so enhanced terms are usually an increase of 6 and a bit years, but the rest is the same.
It is very odd that Capita said one thing in a letter in 2006, and are now saying something very different, but of course this will not be the first mistake Capita has made.
However, on the other hand, the number of lump sums offered to Mrs Stux seem to be a lot more than any other scheme I've seen from PCSPC, even though the terms are enhanced (which I take to mean an enhancement of qualifying years by 6 and a bit).
Was Mrs Stux in any of the unions, and if so is she still a member, as unions were usually involved in negotiating or at least being informed of the terms of exits? Maybe they could help if Capita does not.
If it were me in this position I would do the following:
1. Check the paperwork completed at the time (i.e. what option was ticked by Mrs Stux).
2. If you are clear that Mrs Stux is due another lump sum, press Capita for more information and give them the letter they wrote in 2006. They have been known to make many mistakes.
3. If Mrs Stux is in a union maybe they could help?0 -
However, what is clear that she did not appear to get either of these options in the manner described!

"Any severance payments will be paid in accordance with the standard Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme rules."
Baffling indeed!0 -

Yes, the standard rules did include an enhanced option.0 -
OP, did you ever get this resolved?0
