self employed pension

I've been self-employed for a year and have been dithering about whether to continue with the personal pension plan I had with my old employer or to hunt around for a 'better deal'? I haven't paid into a pension for just over a year and now just want to get regular payments set up or it won't happen. Should I talk to an IFA or just go with the individual personal pension option with current provider?
Thanks in advance!

If the old one accepts new money in, and you are happy with the funds, performance and charges, then use it. If you want to DIY anc set up a new one online and choose your own investments, try Cavendish online.
If you want help, hire an IFA unbiased.co.uk
PS, make sure you are paying your SE nics if you don't have 35 years banked.0 -
