Hi All
Our 5 yr fixed deal ends in July with the Halifax.
The Halifax have said we can re-fix 3 months early so are doing it this week. We have been told from the lady over the phone it is fairly straight forward as we are not changing the term or the amount, just re -fixing. The bloke in branch said different........... he said it is like applying for a new mortgage.
Has anyone been through this process........
The reason I ask is I've not been keeping bank statements or wage slips as I didn't think we would need them.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply.
Not sure how the affordability works but these are our details:
Salaries 25000 for husband, 13000 for me a year. Child benefit/tax credits 290 per month. Loan of 11000 for husband, 7000 for me. Our house is worth roughly 175-180000, mortgage is 136000.
Will it make any difference that our payments are currently £806 a month but if we refix will be £589 a month?
