when a parcel doesn't turn up (parcelforce)

I ordered some things from Pets at Home. As its free delivery over £29 I also asked parents what they needed for dog so it ended up being large order.

Anyway it never arrived. I tracked online and it said delivered. It did not go to neighbours and there was no card. Went into parcelforce office and they said we'll ask driver if he remembers where he delivered it to but if he can't there's nothing we can do. I never heard back.

Also contacted PAH twice, no response.

So is the money just down the drain? it wasn't recorded delivery.

Contract Pets at Home again, it is for them to sort out. They don't seem to answer emails so either call them or post on their Facebook page.
