I like this idea for sticking the attachments to Henry

I have had loads of Hoovers over the years and do not rate Henrys or Dysons. We have bought a Miele Cat and dog as we have 3 cats and 1 dog. I could not believe what it picked up the first time I used it. Downside is they are expensive but I'm very impressed with the build quality and hope it will last a good long time .:)

I love our Henry! No pets as yet but he's far better on our carpets and laminates than the upright bagless bissell we had beforehand,... the only thing he doesn't do well for me is stairs as he can't stand on a step and I get tired holding him in one hand and vaccumming with the other

My Henry is amazing.. I love him.

I don't use a bag in it, builder style!.. and haven't for the 12 years I've had him... That's a scary long time, I thought it was about 5 years but we got it in 2002 so yeah.. 12 years!! I've vacuumed rubble, soil, sand, everything, inside and out on all manner of surfaces and never had an issue.

The end of the black hose has just split so I am getting out the saw and hacking the end 1cm off until I can source another!

My pipes never come apart.. you could always duct tape them together if it is an issue though.

I just replaced the big filter.. it was smelly and clogged up due to lack of a bag.

OH just fixed the power button on his mums.. using a piece of cardboard and some tape!!

Spares are easily available from e-spares and supercheap.

I had a Dyson.. it was an absolute pile of crap.. it barely picked anything up, went through 3 or 4 belts each time it was used and blocked constantly.. I'd not have one if I was paid. I also vacuumed with that then whizzed over with an Electrolux and the dirt the Dyson missed was disgusting.

I got a pet attachment .. apparently numatic do 2 different types of pipe.. and the pet attachment doesn't fit mine! Most annoying!!

I was most pleased when next door threw their dead Henry out.. he is stripped of all 'spares' :)

Ahh thanks for that. I have that attachment for all three of my vacuum cleaners. I think they are known as a turbo brush. Absolutely useless they are. The slightest bit of pressure and they stop spinning.

:) I've had a builder tell me gleefully that you can suck up part-bricks and rubble and all sorts with the Henry vacs; just leave the bag out.

Nice work on the Henry-carcass for cannibalising btw.
