Using More Fairy Liquid than you used to years ago?

Are you saying that the hole in the cap to squeeze w'up liquid through is nearly half a centimetre across? If so that is twice the size of the old Cussons bottle which I use!
Hi, no the diameter of the latest hole is now 4.5mm which calculates as 15.9mm area of the circle. That's the only way of calculating how much liquid flows through the hole and comparing it with the previous 3.2mm hole.0 -
I've been noticing for ages that the hole in the cap has got bigger and the bottles don't last as long.Sadly Fairy is the only washing up liquid that doesn't set my eczema off so I cant buy cheaper brands0

We just stock up with a Fairy liquid when it's on offer in B&M or other cheap jack shops.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

sorry now I'm really confused.
4.5mm is nearly 5mm which is half a centimetre.
The area of such a hole would be 15.9mm squared. (rounded up)
But why do you say "no"?0 -

May I recommend method bottles? They do excellent pump bottles with washing-up liquid (900ml), hand soap (350ml) and laundry(400ish ml) detergent (my preferred bottle) in. I only buy things on offer :A but the bottles last for AGES afterwards; I have them with shampoo/ conditioner/ bubble bath in as well as washing-up liquid and detergent plus their foaming pump and liquid soap.....
Available in Waitrose/ the co-operative/ Homebase etc- there's a Where To Buy tab in the link above. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
Think I'd rather do the ultimate 'moneysaving exercise' and just decant it into a bottle with a smaller diameter nozzle. But it isn't often that I buy Fairy Liquid - usually it's my OH who does that. Thinks it's kinder to his hands - altogether now ..................... 'awwwwwww'!
When I buy the stuff, it's Supermarket Own Label ......... just not the basic one.0 -
I use stardrops or washing soda for washing up now, saves me loads of money and just as good as fairy x hth. Better for my skin tooMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

I always dilute it.... impossible to squeeze small enough amount....0

I am getting sneaky too! thanks to MSE.
I have now added a dash of water to my Fairy bottle and changed the top.
I have found a recycled spray top bottle in my reuse/be green collection that fits the Fairy bottle. Doing some home testing to see if the bottle lasts longer.
Will be looking at the different liquids to see if the cheaper brands have the same ingredients as Fairy.
Yes, I decant shops own into posher bottles. No one seems to care and OH does smile at the lower shopping bill.
Branded down = value disinfectant. Shops own pre treat wash spray (use on shirts mostly). Shops own fabric conditioner. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0
