  • A great tip to boost your will power is to put a few butts in a jam jar with a bit of water. When you get a craving open the jar and take a sniff.

You certainly wont light up after! blagh!

I did that myself on one of my earlier (pre 1995) attempts to quit and stuck the following ode on the jar ...... "when you want to smoke a fag open this and take a drag" .... lol!!
Thanks for all the advice I really appreciate it and its good to hear from people who've stayed quitters, it worries me when people stop and start . . but I suppose on the positive it reminds me I'm only one cigarette away from being a smoker again. No room for complacency in this game.
    Thanks again!
    love and hugs

A close friend of mine died recently from a heart attack - a 40 something female with no personal or family history of heart disease - guess what killed her? Yup, you guessed it..... she thought it would never happen to her either, does this help?
Good luck to you all, never give up on giving up, it was the best thing I ever did!

  • I gave up 4 and a half years ago. I used the patches and had smoked about 30 per day. Please keep going although it is hard it is so worth it. You not only save from not buying cigs, you dont have to decorate so often and your
cleaning is cut down. Also you dont stink !!!!!!

    Keep going
