Some Ideas please

Hi . this is the first time i have ever said out our debt.
Hubby knows we owe a little bit but not the full story. I know we aren't in debt like some but for us & we are very luckily it;s the frist time in 14 years of being together that we owe money.

£2200 car loan
£4500 M&S CC

we changed our mortgage in April to a fixed one after having an all in one account.
we thought we had asked for enough to cover work we had done on the house but hadn't allowed for all the charges that came with changing mortage.
so now we have a bigger mortagage & debt.

our income changes every month due to hubby's job but on the whole we have £2530 come in a month but bills are £2111 with out food or petrol, clothes or just day to day things.

what i'm looking for is a bit of advice on how we can save or make some extra money. hubby works 2 jobs already & is away most weekends with work.
i work part time but have 2 children under school age so can't work any more.
i'm willing to work from home & in the evenings but again can only be something from home as no child care.

please can you spare me a few mins & give me some advice.

thanks alot xx

    Hi hun

    Welcome to the board !!

The lightbulb posts are about what people call their "lightbulb Moment" this basically means the point in time where that person suddenly realises they are in debt and they need to get it sorted - i.e. their "lightbulb" just came on !!

The first thing you need to do is let us know all you inpmings and outgoings so the lovely people on here can advise you of any savings to be made to help you pay off the debt you have.

It would also be helpful to know what the APR's are on your CC and car loan and how many payments are left to make. Also how many people are i your family.

Right at the top of the Debt Free Wannabe Board there is a post for new people which contains a Statement of Affairs which, if you have a read of, will give you the information the lovely people on this board need in order to help you out.

    Hope this helps.

    T xx
