Afternoon - well that is the kids off school now for a week yeah They are all excited about Halloween and have two Halloween parties through the week so at least they will get some wear out of their costumes, as they have always out grown them by next year!

Have any of you seen the movie, Troll Hunter? If you have you will know that the troll hunder has a really dirty looking landrover which is covered in gunk from the trolls (troll spit). Anyway, almot every evening a similar dirty landrover parks up and I keep looking at it and thinking 'does he drive off in the twilight hours hunting for trolls around here!!!!????' I hope not! I dare not mention it to the kids as my dad has already put the creepers into them by telling them that there is a troll living under the bridge by their holiday home in Scotland! Whenever we cross over it we have to tip toe so we don't disturb the troll!

My youngest daughter came home from school today and asked: 'mam, why are the Galaxy and MilkyWay and Mars in space named after chocolate?' At first I thought she was about to tell me a joke but no - she was being quite serious! So I said to her, well, I think it is the other way round - the chocolate bars were named after the Galaxy and MilkyWay and Mars because they were given those names first' Well this conversation has gone on since 3.30pm. 'But why were they called chocolate names, mam?'
'But there was no chocolate with those names at the time'
'So why did the man choose those names, mam?'
'I assume the man who discovered them liked those names'
'Do you think he made them up, mam?'
'Yes, possibly'
'Because he liked chocolate, mam?'
'No, because there was no chocolate with those names at that time'
'But how do you know, mam? Why didn't he name them after the chocolate he had then?'
'Eeeek! I'll tell you what...you ask your Grand-dad over the weekend - I have to make tea!'

I am just dreading my kids asking about the birds and the bees!

My youngest one has just turned 7. She is learning about space at school and is always asking me weird questions!

Lol Bella! My youngest asked me last year how a baby gets inside the belly. I said it's like a tadpole when it starts off as frogspawn and grows, well the egg grows into a baby. "But how does the egg get there in the first place?" She asked me! I told her to ask her dad!
