Advice on work situation - newly graduated

My partner and I are looking to get a mortgage at the moment, but I have just graduated as a (slightly) mature student. My partner earns well, 25k, and between us we have saved up a 20% deposit. But I only have a zero hour contract that I've been in for nearly 2 years (never working less than 16 hours) and I also have another temporary (and self employed) job, that will run out in August.
Does anyone have any experience of newly graduating and mortgage hunting, or experience with just getting started on temporary contracts? We both have good credit ratings, and we're not overstretching in our mortgage amount, as the rate looks to be roughly what we already pay in rent.
Any advice warmly welcomed!

Some lenders will average out your hours and use that.
Others will look for the lowest and use that.
Its probably not a bad idea in this instance to speak to a broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
