I'm back again. I couldn't remember my previous login details though. I was a debt free wannabee about 7-8 years ago and was so proud when I finally paid everything off.
Change of circumstances-split with husband and he palmed all his debt my way accompanied with a large maintenance payment each month! I then put my head in the sand for several months and wracked up huge amounts of debt living beyone my means etc.....
So, LBM, now need to get back on track. Just bought a new place with my BF and am paying mortgage contributions and food and nothing else until I'm in a better position. So I need to clear my debt and start paying my way asap before he falls out of love with me
It is certainly not the way i wanted to start a new relationship and i find it really difficult to deal with as i have always been independent.......have lot of challenges and plans to keep myself motivated but it's going to be tough not to slip.

Plan:
Try for a second job to add to the income- this could be difficult due to demands of full time job!
Join £10 a day challenge and use all sites recommended here
Spend minimal amounts- allow £400 per month and anything else spare after bills/mortgage to go towards highest interest item which is the loan, then santander card.
Avoid all social plans- only do min with fb and kids to keep some level of happiness in life.
Walk to work to save on petrol deductions from company car affecting wages.Zopa: £1210.17 (£989.39) Santander: £1685.10 (£467.98)

Had a job interview this morning. Really annoyed as the advert said 'evenings & weekends' but then when there they said no it's between 9-5 which I can't do due to my full time job!!!
Going to apply for some part time hourly paid roles and stipulate in my cover letter that I only want to work evenings or weekends.
Joined the 1% challenge, my 1% is 162.72 so I'm going to use the money I make from the £10 a day challenge and save up to make my 1% payments.
Have applied for a 0% balance transfer credit card to shift some if my debt with santander and bf has offered to pay my loan and then I can pay him interest free- just need to get a settlement figure from zopa!Zopa: £1210.17 (£989.39) Santander: £1685.10 (£467.98)

My health took a tur for the worst this month. Feet swollen and knee in agony. Aggravated by stress at work and financial stress

Can't walk to work and save money on petrol and it really made it clear that my body isn't strong enough to do two jobs.
However a discussion at work did raise the fact that my workload is too much which resulted in the boss agreeing to pay overtime for the extra work i'm doing, as normally salaried! Saw another job advertised locally at £10k a year more than I'm on. So I've applied for it....not sure I want to leave my company but the money is too good to not at least try for it....who knows it might give me some leverage
Zopa's settlement figure is only saving £40 so not going to do that now. It's not worth it. I got a 0% transfer card from Tesco but because of my recent change of address the limit was only £1000. But it's better than nothing. Shifted £950 from Santander to there so that's a little less interest to pay out.
Unfortunately this month was my sister's birthday where I had already planned to pay for her party so I spent more than I should this month and so vanquis cc went back up when previously it was nil balance!!
I'm just waiting for Zopa to take their payment for the month to see what I have left to make additional payments to Santander before I can update my signature to see my progress this month. I don't think it's been a great month but my mind and health are feeling better.Zopa: £1210.17 (£989.39) Santander: £1685.10 (£467.98)

After paying out for sister's party and doing all my end of month payments. I ended up £50.56 further in debt, however this also included the transfer fee to move some of my santander debt over to the new 0% credit card. So althought his was an expensive month I ended up a little bit better than I thought I would but I really need to make the effort to get the debt down not up. Focus on Santander credit card which is now around the 450 mark so hopefully won't be long now. Have my mum's birthday, nephew's birthday and 2x fathers days to incorporate this month...Zopa: £1210.17 (£989.39) Santander: £1685.10 (£467.98)
