I'm fine thanks all, just don't really feel that I have a lot to say at the moment.

I don't have the time or energy to keep up with all the diaries that I once read and it feels like the only way to keep the discussions flowing is by being a 'diary butterfly'. Somewhat difficult with a toddler, a job and home renovations :)

Glad you are doing ok. I know the feeling of being unable to keep up with everyone. Do keep posting on your thread though = your financial mumblings have been of interest :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I'm in exactly the same position at the moment. Hope the renovations are going well :)
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I'm panicking! Tell me the first book I should read about investing, please!

    Missed this, sorry.

Don't bother investing beyond any employer matched pension until you have paid off your unsecured debts, that would be my top tip ;)

A fair and reasonable point but I need to read and inwardly digest the information before doing anything with it! ;)

  • Edinburgher I have just discovered your thread, read a few posts and I already love it! Looking forward to some happy hours ahead reading from the beginning - your line at the beginning made me laugh - 'Drooling in a money nerd stupor'! Funny:)
