    Maybe not MSE but consider disposable nappies for the first few weeks. It just eases the laundry burden when you're sleep deprived.

    Is Mrs E breastfeeding? If so Ed, make sure you are fetching her plenty of food that's easy to eat with one hand, and also drinks while she spends the next 6 weeks with a baby attached to her boob.

    She is and baby seems to be getting the right idea. Still early days, so not taking too much out of her (so to speak!) I am looking after her :)

    Agreed, and I'm also told that the first few days of poo are so bad that they can permanently stain the fabric nappies :eek:

    We'll hopefully move her on to them once she moves on to the, erm, lighter stuff in a couple of weeks.

    Fantastic! I'd never be in the condition that she is after the labour she went through. Serenely accomplishing everything with a combination of love and adrenaline. V. proud of her.

    don't be alarmed if Mrs E quite likes the smell once the meconium is gone (and it turns BRIGHT YELLOW :eek: ). When my boy was wee I could sniff out a BF bum at 20 paces :rotfl:
