Another month and i'm back again, does anyone else who gets paid monthly feel like you can do some good damage at the start of the month then it stagnates until payday again? some folk on here seem to make daily progress...
slight update on the sig. as per my last post I am true to my word and we have received the tickets for Download 13-15th June and booked Rome for 17-22nd June ... needless to say, the debt has went up slightly but I don't see this as a problem. I actually see a way out this mess now it just so happens I am a impatient !!!!!! and want it done today
however, I have came to the realization that mostly it's just a plodding along and a waiting game, short of a small lottery win it won't go away, and although there is definitely a DFD I think i'm happier not knowing what it is.
Downloaded an app to the Iphone just before payday (1st) tracks incoming/outgoing so for the first time in my life I can actually see where all my money goes which I think will allow me to tighten the belt in the future as I see where I waste money. can watch it from month to month to hopefully in time I will see progress that way as well
also downloaded a debt app which I can keep track of the debts, it's funny where before I tried to avoid looking at these numbers but now I will log into it once in awhile to look at them and pity the fools as they're going down! anyone else this sad?
However managed to pay £200 to the loan this month and £65 to the CC
schweet. just roll on next payday (which after Rome and Download probably can't come quick enough!)
Hope your are all well fellow DFD'ers!0 -
Hi Dave!
I know what you mean about having that impetus at the beginning of the month and then waiting for pay day to come around again so that you can get than impetus again! lol
As for apps, I am now totally converted from my spreadsheets onto YNAB, you can use it on the PC and an App too. I can log all my spends, income and debt on the system and watch my progress.
Have a great time at Download and Rome - I spent 3 months in Rome during my Masters and it is a beautiful city! So much to see!
