Pensions with previous employers - what is best?

I have a pension with my current and each of my former employers (4 currently) and want to know if it is better to keep them separate or bring them all together. Can anyone help please?

Are these Defined Contribution or Defined Benefit pensions?

Any local IFA or restricted IFA with no restriction in pensions would be able to.

You can DIY if you know how to analyse the pensions and compare them to alternatives.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Before anything else, make sure that all the schemes have your up-to-date address and marital status.

After that, for each check the annual charges and the choice of investments open to you. Then enquire here again.
Free the dunston one next time too.
  • I believe they were/are all defined contribution in that there was a set amount that I paid each month as did my employer. I will check and make sure all have up to date details.
