I couldn't agree more, that's why I highlighted the comment, which wasn't a very nice comment to make and totally unnecessary.

    Morning :)

Agreed, and it's one of my pet hates about sites (as much as I love the site) like this and social media tools in general.

Sometimes otherwise nice people say things that they wouldn't normally say in person... It pops into their head and BOOM it's there on the page in all of it's blunt glory LOL and then when they are challenged on it they take offence themselves and go defensive :(

My usual lurking ground is the Debt Free Wannabe forum but obviously I like to poke my nose into other peoples business and try to offer help where I can and it's not uncommon to be slated for my financial situation! All water of a ducks back to me now but it nearly put me off completely and I know some who never bother to leave that forum because of less than helpful comments made to them...

Then of course there are trolls ;)

Unfortunately OP this thread seems to have descended into some personal attacks and justification, which won't be helping you.

So you have probably gathered that this isn't an easy situation for you - but my suggestion would be to take all your paperwork into an actual Co-op bank branch on Tuesday, perhaps call them first to make an appointment with a manager or whatever they call bank managers now. "Personal Finance Guidance Advisor" probably....

    Hi OP,

Not sure if this guy is still about but I deal with payday lenders and have spoke to him before for a person who had a similar issue.

Try the following : David Dirzo, ddirzo@quickquid.co.uk or tel: 0808 234 4558, Ext. 5748 or direct US number : 00+1+7733573678

If this fails then you really need to badger your bank that has the account closed and stress that this is causing you issues and that you really need help in order to stop anymore money being deducted from your new account.

The only other email I have is : support@quickquid.co.uk

You could also email the Director of the bank that has the closed account as it will then get your issue looked at quickly with a view to resolve asap.

"In response to your query, we do apologise for any inconvenience you have experienced. In order to assist you further, we will need you to submit a copy of your final bank statement or closing statement from the account the funds were issued to. The statement should show your name, the bank's name, bank account number, sort code and transaction history including where it advises the account was closed."..........

I'm at a loss as to what to do for the best.

    Thanking you in anticipation :)

Did I miss something? Is there any reason you can't send the bank statement they ask for?

The OP has given a long explanation of their situation and is clearly seeking help, and by all accounts quite desperate.

The replies above which are critical, are of no real help whatsoever. If the OP has made a mistake, so be it. None of us are perfect.

Personally, I don't know the answer, but if anyone can help or offer any constructive advice it would be helpful. Afterall, isn't this what this site is supposed to be all about?

Whilst probably not what the OP wanted to hear, none of the replies were critical.

I personally feel the message they were conveying was factually correct, and therefore constructive and helpful, if a little blunt.

Your post was however entirely critical and judgmental of other posters comments, and by your own admission, contained no advice for the OP whatsoever. How ironic!
