What has happened to Chivers jelly and Rowntrees jelly. Can only find Hartleys in the main supermarkets.

Chivers is no longer; now named Hartleys. Premier Foods (American) own it and dropped the name a few years back.

ChiversHartley (part of Premier Foods) decided to drop the Chivers brand name and only use the Hartleys name. The same company also owned Rowntrees Jelly, which brandname they discontinued to avoid confusion with Nestle's Rowntree Fruit Jelly Pastiles.

Since being very ill in hospital for a few months, I became quite partial to jelly & since being back home again have discovered that no supermarket even does their own brand of jelly any more either & it is just Hartley's on the shelves.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I like the sugar free jellies, as they set quickly and are more intensely flavoured.

Yup I too have noticed that the only jelly available is the 'Hartley@ brand No choice anymore as the supermarkets seem to have decided that the Hartley monopoly gives them better profits.A sign of things to come I feel, possibly the choice will go from lots of stuff, make the most of what's in the shops while you can
