I've also just checked and like you joined in 2007. Found I had completed 3 surveys in 2007 and again in 2008 so have a grand total of 58 points.

Do see that if you receive an invite & even are screened out you receive an entry in a draw that month but as far as I'm concerned the survey invites are, to say the least, sparse.

Wonder how long it will take to reach 150 points for the £15 pay-out - when the recession ends?[/quote]

Well thats 5+ years wait then for me...(45 points in nearly 2 years...) and thats if they actually send me surveys! I emailed them, but doesn't really seem worth it.

Doesn't really look like its worth the bother now , but would still appreciate if anyone can send the info, does no harm to be registered i suppose , an you never know , maybe i'll be a lucky one

Who can become a member of opinion people?
Participation in opinion people is only possible upon invitation. For scientific methodological reasons, we can't allow self-registration of members. The possibility of self-registration with a panel would lead to distortions in the panel's member-structure and limit our studies' generalizability. Those invited to participate in opinion people are given a personalized key-code in the invitation (this happens only once). However, we cannot give a key-code to anyone upon request. Invitation to participate in opinion people and assignment of a personalized key-code follows a process of random selection. Further requirements for participation are:
    - members must be at least 14 years old
    - residence and bank account in Great Britain
    - internet access and a personal e-mail address

nicola00 - Have just taken above from their site - so looks as if you have to wait for the invitation!!
  • I have just been paid from them. Thought it was £15 but they seem to have sent me £14.69 or something...
  • Well done those who have been paid. I would personally recommend that the rest of you don't touch this lot of scammers with a barge-pole. They have a policy that if you don't register bank details or a Paypal account within three months of reaching your 150 points, they reset your balance to zero. Of course they don't send an email reminder or anything. Why is that I wonder? Why after the 150 points and not on registration, which would have been very easy to do? Needless to say, Muggins here got caught out by this underhand tactic. The thing is, as has previously been stated, invitations are so few and far between that I had no idea I was anywhere near a payout. Ultimately my own fault I guess, but what a sleazy and sneaky way to treat loyal members, eh?
  • I don't know what to make of this lot. Apparently I joined in March and had a grand total of 18 points from profile bits, but then had an e-mail saying I'd won the 100 point draw and they'd transferred the points to my account. I was like 'ace!' until I realised they haven't transferred a thing! E-mailed them, no response yet....
