Thanks, I do kind of get the method happycamel suggested, but it would mean applying for another 0% on purchases card.thebritishbloke wrote: »Money transfer is probably the easiest option for you then. Better to take a £50 fee than pay 20% interest!
I'll wait for the Virgin card to arrive, and see how much I can transfer, then go from there.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Just a question about the 0% Virgin card. After I do the money transfer, how can I work out what the minimum payment would be?
I'm thinking to pay about £50 per month, and was wondering if this will cover it.
Also, would the 0% start as soon as I receive the card, or as soon as I activate it?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Make sure you have a direct debit set up for the minimum, if you want to pay more every month, set up a standing order as well, or log in and pay by debt card. But please just make sure you have a direct debit either way, you could forget one month or anything.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
Thanks for that info, I will definitely be setting up a DD.
Can anyone say if the 0% would start as soon as I receive the card, or as soon as I activate it?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
