Roboform ok or not?

Options
Hi

I'm new here and just started comping at the beginning of April.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but what is the general view? Is there a risk of being disqualified?

Thanks

no-one knows for sure but you do still win when using it - however you have to pay for it, there's something similar called lastpass which is free & highly regarded by some - I had the free trial of roboform which n o longer works so I use it as a pasword store & use google autofill

I have been using the free version of RoboForm for a few years and it works fine and I have won many times. There maybe some companies who don't like it, but I love it.

Used Roboform since day 1 of comping - if you know where to look you can get a fully registered version for free

    Version 7.8.6.5 (en-english, ENG) Jan 18 2013 16:54:23
PRO version, 316 days since first install:
    RF Everywhere(expires: 12/08/2786)

I use Roboform (free) and have tried Lastpass as well.
I found lastpass rubbish as a form filler (too many mouse clicks to fill the form)
Unless you want to comp on different platforms (phone, tablet, PC etc) then Roboform free is very good but I have it set up so 'offer to autofill' is switched off.
Then let your browser handle the username and passwords.
Then when you first enter a usename/email password on a new form the browser will ask you if you want it to remember the details (yes!), but roboform will not!
This gets around the restriction that free roboform has on passcards and actually works faster.
    HTH :)

I have used free robo form but got fed up with the messages saying buy the full version, plus you have to un install it after a year because it does not work unless you buy it, then re install it to use it again for another year.

    So I tried Lastpass

Downloaded it, never sends me emails about buying it, don't have t un install then re install, works like a dream

I have always used auto fillers, and have a winner list as long as my arm ;)

If a website don't want you to auto fill their online form , they will prevent the form from filling by putting text in each form field.

I now use the paid for version of RoboForm, and Fireform for Firefox as Lass Pass became a bit !!!!!! after the last update, and It's hopeless with the Mag daily comps.

I prefer lastpass once it's up and running it's less intrusive than roboform and free.

Depends how you have it set up - mine fills with one click, with multiple ids it might be two, one to access the drop down then one to select the required id (although it may be possible to add ids to the toolbar the same as roboform, not tried it ).

Some forms will fill with one and not the other so it is handy to have both.

Daza, any chance of a clue on this one please? I tried, but drew a blank, and would love to save the renewal price.
