I REFUSE to make cuts agains the honeymoon, Its my wedding its what I want. Sod everyone else.0 -
its all about priorities and everyone is different if you want an expensive honeymoon and you can afford it go for it you'll only do it once. i didnt want to compromise on my dress i fell in love with it and as its my day i wanted to feel fabulous but it was more than twice the original budget so i had to cut back elsewhere. our 'honeymoon' is a week at butlins with the kids (2 toddlers) lol which was already booked before we even thought about getting married. hopefully when the kids are a bit older we will get a belated proper honeymoon.iv done 3 things right in my life and their all perfect

We are fortunate to not have any kids, nor do we intend to have any until a year or two after we are married.
All that matters to me is what she thinks, I'd marry her in the middle of a farmers field for all I care.
If somebody asks my opinion I just pass off to the wife to be.0 -
with that attitude you'll have a long happy marriage lol.iv done 3 things right in my life and their all perfect

That is what it should be about though, in my opinion anyway. The budget I set is there for her to spend as she see's fit.
Fortunately she has enough common sense not to blow the lot on one area and leave us backed into a corner.
My mother (who is more excited than I am) is doing our invites, all I am paying for is the material and wine for her and the others making them.0 -
