You normally find it's the solicitor which requests the money laundering requirements, not the lender itself.I am a mortgage broker. My Father had to send in bank statement showing the deposit amount, his photographic ID, a letter as per the above and then had to re do the letter as the lender (who had requested this, not the Solicitor in our case), wanted an extra line allowing them to retain his ID as part of our file. My Dad felt this was too invasive and eventually agreed, but it felt as if the lender really asked for a lot of info from both them and us.0

The money is spread across lots of currents accounts - Santander 123, Club Lloyds, TSB, BoS etc, you get the idea...
Now I have read that lenders want to see evidence of the deposit. Ok no problem, just get the statement(s) from each bank.
However I have been told that lenders may (or will) want to see 'where' this money has come from.
Is this correct?
If so, what 'proof' is generally required? (I realize different lenders may have different ideas of what constitutes proof, so just in a general sense so I can get things rolling if need be)
Thanks.
I have never listened such kind of issue before, and lenders don't have right to know your personal earning. And if they want to know about your earning where are earning coming from what your business is!!!0
