You'll eliminate some double charges this way.
Yes, trying to do it all with Halifax in the one go, then when I am sorted out and it's all in my name I can shop around for offers at my leisure. Right now, just trying to get the ball rolling, but I have a feeling they won't talk to me unless my mum is there too...which will be a monumental pain in the botty to achieve.2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)

They can do it over the phone, the lady said it will take about an hour to an hour and a half and she gave me a list of all the info I will need to have beside me. They said they will send out the documentation for my ex to sign. It doesn't seem like he has to do anything except sign the relevant bits as the onus is on me.0 -

If it works like they did for me, they will call you to discuss your needs and then book a longer phone appointment where they will do the actual paperwork.
I've been asked for details of my income, credit commitments, any other properties purchased, addresses for past three years and job details for past three years. They also asked for my solicitor's details but said if I didn't have one, they would recommend the ones they use.0 -
