Comps Ending 30/04

So, sitting here with nothing to do while waiting for the vet to phone (gotta go fetch my doggie), I decided just to have a look at the 30/04 comps.

I counted up that of 1434 (please don't ask me to recount!) comps ending today, I have entered 536 (about 37%).

It is quite clear to me that tomorrow morning I will have an email inbox full of congratulatory emails and will therefore be jetting off on one of the several foreign breaks I will have won, whilst eating the chocolate won from the (very late) Easter comps, done up to the nines with the new clothes, shoes and make-up and carrying the new posh luggage.

Just thought I would share that with you... you know, so you can prepare for my many individual posts in IWIWIW tomorrow :rotfl:

Yep I agree! Was tongue-in-cheek but I knew there was a ton of comps ending today and I was a bit bored

Still, one can only hope!

I've been stuck in bed ill last couple of days and I have mega caught up with the board.. only 11 days behind now which is the best ever for me! I am fully expecting at least 100 wins tomorrow! heehee!

I was only thinking the same thing just now. I bet I wake up to a load of WEMs tomorrow. I've been comping like a loon now I'm on maternity leave!

Hi Olive, you can sort the competition threads by date order (that's why they have such a particular start in the name of the thread so that it helps to sort them).

At the bottom of the page there is a 'Display Options' box - click on the 'Sorted By' box and sort by thread title. If you leave the 'Sort Order' as descending they will start from 31/12, or change it to ascending at they start from 01/05 (at the moment).

There's a fab post somewhere with pictures in it that I'm sure somebody will know exactly where to find... (cue very helpful MSE person)...

hi, you can change your forum threads
to posts by end dates..here..

You can change the Forum thread order to sort posts by end date. Simply go to the bottom of any Forum page & on the left hand side is ‘Display Options’. Click on the ‘Sorted By’ dropdown & then select Thread Title.
All 200 odd pages are now listed in Thread Title order.

Each thread will now be listed by the ending date used in the thread title. This means that the threads which end on a particular date will be grouped together - you will just need to find out which page they start from & then you are ready to enter comps for a particular end date.

WARNING: If you are entering comps on the day or even the day before they end you run the risk that perhaps the comp has closed a little early & your entry won't be counted. Another thing to bear in mind is that the Board Guides volunteer hours of their time to keep these boards clear & running smoothly so sometimes comps which are ending today or perhaps tomorrow (in rare cases) may be moved to Game Over a little early - this is a task which has to fit around their real lives & also when they have some spare 'online' time.
SUGGESTION: If you really want to only enter comps right when they are ending then I strongly suggest you get a couple of days ahead of yourself to avoid the above.

Another method you can use for finding comps that end on a particular day is to do a couple of searches using Google or another search engine using each of the following:

"E:01/09" site:moneysavingexpert.com

"E:1/09" site:moneysavingexpert.com

This method will find the comps for the dates you have selected whether they are in Competitions Time Forum, or even the Game Over & Regular Competitions sub forums.

Please note, this is a good way to find comps that end on the date searched, Please be aware though, that it will bring up all comps including those that ended in previous years!

well I have somehow finally just got through all of 30/4 yawn...was so excited that I carried on and completed 1/5 as well!!
