E: 03/05 All PC Chart Games BOGOF and All PS2 & Xbox Games £24.99 each or Less

Part Of PC World's In-store May Day Holiday offers are All PC Chart Games Buy One Get One FREE (BOGOF) and All PS2 & Xbox games are £24.99 each (or less).

PC World are sometimes sneaky, so if you can't see the games you want, get them to check the stock room and/or computer system to look for stock. SKU codes for most games can be found on the website.

Also if you can find the offer advertised in a paper (possibly an in-store leaflet) Asda should price match the offer without checking if PC Wold has stock!

EDIT: The PS2/Xbox offer may require a Voucher, It's found on the May Day offers leaflets which should be at the front (or scattered around) all PC World Stores.

EDIT2: The Offer are due to end Today (Tuesday 03/05/05) So I'm assuming the offers will be on until they close this evening.

Just been and bought Half-Life 2 and Medal of Honour Pacific Assault for just £19.98 for the pair!!!! Fantastic.

HOWEVER - I had to argue the toss because although MoH was on the shelf with the chart games (at position 9 or 10) it didn't come up on the computer as a chart game!! When I argued with the woman on the till she told me that was because the two games in the BOGOF had to be the SAME game - stupid person. So I went to Customer Services who eventually decided it was because "they" kept changing the chart without telling them! But they did at least let me buy it - well done PCW.

So be prepared to argue a bit, but it's well worth it if you want to grab an absolute bargain.

A big up to the original poster. Cheers!

Wish I'd known this was coming up as I've just paid £30 for Fifa Street

I made a special trip to my local store yesterday but they weren't doing any offers like these. Is it mentioned online?

I forgot to mention the PS2/Xbox offer is via Voucher (which should be available at the front of every store). The PC offer though is just a standard offer, If it isn't displayed you could either ask the staff and/or get them to scan the games (and the discount should show up).

Ive just gone and bought 2 chart games, at first it was put through the till at both full price but if you point out the Mayday leaflet ( i found one next to the till ) they give you the cheapest game free. Good spot MEW - Thanks.
  • Great post Mew Thanks.

Tried my local PC World - Half life 2 and Doom 3 thinking £19.99 the pair - Even had my May Day deals brochure with me.

Wouldn't allow me to buy 2 for the price of 1!!! even though I showed him the offer (and saw it on the screen of the till as an option).

Will try in a different PC world tomorrow - Still miffed about that!!

Think the offer is still on to 5pm Tuesday 3rd May

If they don't give you the offer I suggest you contact their Head Office and complain - point out the fact that they have published this offer in a special leaflet and tell them you will complain to the ASA if they don't give you it.

There were no posters in store offering this but there were a lot of tabloid-sized leaflets promoting this both lying around and pasted up on the entrance in the Oxford store.

I agree with Biglugs - Complain to their Head office, Did they not give you a reason ??? As long as both these games are in the current charts that they post at PC World then you should have got the BOGOF deal.

    Hi

I was in PCW today (getting my copy of Medal of Honor exchanged cos it didn't work) and checked out their printed chart. Doom3 isn't one of the chart games, which explains why they wouldn't let you have it.
The latest Doom3 expansion pack (which is £29.99) is in the charts.
I got MoH Pacific Assault which is not in the charts by arguing the toss because they had it in their chart shelves.

I was in PC World (Sprucefield, N. Ireland) last night looking for Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS2. I thought it would be £24.99 with the May Day voucher, but the girl on the till said that it was buy one get one free.

I got Metal Gear 3 and Gran Tourismo 4 - total price £29.99. I didn't mention the £24.99 offer as this one was much better.
    That's the one I'd get
