Hi,
My friend's employer is going through some contract reviews and have suggest that something may be on the cards is to reduce their hours by two and a half hours per week (from 37 and a half to 35) and reduce their salaries accordingly.
Is this legal, please?
Thank you.

They would have to follow correct procedures but in a nutshell, yes they can do it.
