Anyway Possible?

I posted a while ago about buying my dads house. However this is no longer possible and me and my husband are now looking to buy our own property.

I have been in a dmp for a few years, never missed a payment still a large amount owing, more than managable monthly though.

So, would I be able to get a mortgage whilst on this plan? If not what would we need to consider if my husband got the mortgage solely in his name?

Also, our deposit would come from the sale of my dads house, could we find a house and complete before he sold? If he could show the equity in the house for example. Or would he need to sell/equity release to us if his house had not sold before then?

Thanks in advance

You'll need to clear your DMP before even considering a mortgage.

If your husband applies alone then it may well still impact the application.
