What to do?

I really don't know what to do at the moment. I am currently on income support ( claimed from February 2014) and was only looking to claim this for a few months just until my 10 month old ds is properly weaned (breastfed baby who still prefers breast milk over solids).
I have just been contacted by my employer who want me to start back. They are offering me a 16 hour contract whereas I was only on a casual before my maternity leave began. I would be working 10-2 mon, Tuesday, Friday and either saturday or Sunday.
I really want to go back to work as in better off in work and wasn't planning on being on income support long term anyway. Probably til September at the latest.
Problem I have is baby is very clingy and only wants for me. He will stay with others but when he wants me, he will scream til I'm there. I am looking to put him in with a childminder but I'm worried he wont settle with them. He will stay with my mother for a few hours without me and has so far managed two hours at the most with his dad without me there
What should I do?

If you feel ready to go back to work, give it a go. Jobs with 10-2 hours are like gold dust! The baby will soon adjust to a new routine. .0

Good luck with the job!! Sounds perfect - take it0

All Mothers think their babies can't do without them, but they can. At least try it & see. Don't get anxious when dropping him at the childminders as he will pick up on your unease.0

Same as above - perfect child friendly hours, could be very good for your family. Separation anxiety is normal at this age, and will continue for the next 8 months. You should take the opportunity now that it has been presented, as I think it unlikely the same one would resurface in 8 months' when the baby is less clingy.0

Thanks for all your advice. That's what has been going through my head to be honest, that another job with these hours doesn't show up that often. I have an appointment with the childminder on Friday so maybe I should talk to her about my concerns as well. I know she's a good childminder as she was friends with my eldest sons childminder.0
