Applying as a (married) couple, only one credit checked?

Hello all
Baffled by the situation, does anyone have an insight into why, though we are applying for a mortgage as a married couple, I was credit checked through Equifax yesterday, while my husband doesn't have any records of credit checks ran by the lender?..
He earns a bigger wage and has a better credit score so if they had to pick one of us, we'd rather, they went with him!
Any ideas?

You'll both be credit checked. Just because his record doesn't record a search being made yet means little. Possibly his record is being currently being updated.0

Thanks for that! I really hope they didn't just check me and decide not to proceed - I am not entitled to be on Electoral Roll, which, annoyingly, makes my credit score a shocker! 'Excellent' in all other areas, can more than afford the mortgage according to all the affordability calcs and have 20-25% deposit ready, so fingers crossed!0

Why not? This may have a bearing on the application.0 -
Because I am Russian - there is literally nothing I can do. Just added a note to my report, but this can't 'fix' credit score...0
