Potentially missed prize

Have just googled myself and spotted that I won a canvas back in March on Facebook.

The company did not tag me and I did not see the winners post - I follow so many pages that it must have got drowned out.

Has anyone else had this as they had not been tagged?

I've messaged the company running the comp to see if it's too late to claim but I've got a feeling it is as I've seen that they have replied to someone's comment on the comp post to say they have won the canvas - a few days after I was announced a winner...

Even if a company tags you, it doesn't always show up in your notifications. FB is notoriously unreliable.

Personally, if it's a prize I really, really want to win, I make a note to keep checking their FB page for the winner announcement.

I also check the FB Winners thread over on IWIWIW daily.

Also, check your FB messages regularly - the Others inbox, and Spam inbox especially, as winning PMs can end up there.

Hope that this advice helps, and that the comping fairy will send you something even better to make up for the lost win

ETA - there are also two FB groups: Competition Checkers and The Winners Circle that publish FB comp winners.
