Arrangement to pay marker and mortgage app

I wouldn't be so sure, there are quite a few upheld complaints if you search depending on how the lender conducted themselves.
I haven't got anything to lose at this point if I get rejected I'm back where I started.
I just wish i had half the knowledge of this messed up system back in 2006 when I encountered dificulties as I do now. I would certainly be a lot better off financially and be a lot less stressed out over it all.0 -

Hi,
Any update from the FOS? I have an arrangement to pay i am planning on contesting so i would be very interested to here your outcome.
I am also planning on applying for a mortgage. Have you spoken to a broker? Did they manage to source a mortgage for you?0 -
I never got to the stage of FOS thankfully.
Capital one agreed they had marked my file incorrectly and issued me a default for aug 2006, so now off my file.
Creation initially refused to change the AP markers. After trawling my documents with them I had realised that there was nothing in their terms regarding payment arrangements nor did they inform me at the time of how the reduced payments would affect my credit files. After adding these points to the fact over 2 years of these markers had been used their legal team found in my favour and issued a default for 2006 and will be off my files by the end of the month.
So anyone in the same boat it doesn't harm to complain and see what happens.0 -

The default was in 2006 and it's still on your report?
Glad it's sorted!Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
It is just going to be that long as they only send their updates out periodically. I've waited 9 years to repair my credit file, another couple of weeks won't hurt
