Quick question:
As regards to a food budget - whats the minimum do you think a single person could spend in a month and still get healthy, nutritious meals and perhaps a treat (say a small bit of steak or a chop) once a week on Sundays?

There are people here much better at this stuff than me, but having just done the living below the line challenge I would want more than £1 a day as although we ate OK it was very carby and a bit boring. I probably wouldn't need a huge amount more, just enough for a bit more protein and veg.0

I dont want it to be horrifically boring, otherwise Iĺl just go a bit mad I think. Would about £20-25 a week be doable with a bit of clever shopping/buying in bulk etc?0

£3 a day is fine. My budget for food is £25 per person per week which is a bit more than £3 per day.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
