House Building

If I got a house built, paid for the land, designer, materials and paid the people to build it.
Do I still have to get a mortgage and pay a mortgage on it ?
or is the fact I've paid for the building of it enough ?

Yes it is enough. A mortgage is just a loan to enable you to purchase a house. Theoretically, you could pay for a house in cash.
But bear in mind that building your own place is still subject to a lot of rules and regulations - there is a reason the majority of homebuyers opt for someone else to deal with all of it0
